Who are we

Welcome to Talentbase.lk!
Talentbase.lk is a pioneering AI-powered job recommendation platform developed through a collaborative research initiative between the University of Kelaniya and the University of Colombo, two leading universities in Sri Lanka.

In August 2018, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) launched the Science and Technology Human Resource Development Project (SRI 50275), aimed at improving access to employment-oriented higher technology education and strengthening collaborations between Sri Lankan universities and industry. As part of this project, we secured a grant from the Ministry of Education and the University Grants Commission of Sri Lanka to develop an innovative solution: the Automated AI Job Recommendation, Optimization, and Analysis System.

How We Work

User Registration & Profiling: Users register on the platform and input key personal, educational, and professional data to build a dynamic user profile.

Employer Job Postings: Employers can directly post job vacancies on Talentbase.lk, ensuring that opportunities are up-to-date and tailored to the local talent pool.

Smart Job Matching: Our AI-driven engine uses advanced algorithms to match job seekers with the most relevant openings based on their profiles. While we primarily rely on employer-submitted listings, we also enhance our database with select job postings gathered from trusted external job portals.

Automated Notifications: Users receive personalized job recommendations and alerts through SMS and email, keeping them informed and ready to apply instantly.

Data-Driven Insights: Our backend systems analyze both unemployed and job market datasets using statistical and machine learning models. These insights guide users, educators, and policymakers.

Continuous Learning & Enhancement: The platform evolves by learning from user behavior, market trends, and ground realities to continually improve recommendations and forecasting accuracy.
